This role exists to ensure clean program release, safe prove-outs, and stable handoff to production while maintaining the quality standards required in a regulated medical environment.This is a hands-on, floor-facing programming role — not a desk-only CAM position.---<h3>The Work You’ll Be Doing</h3>In this contract role, you will:<ul><li>Program, prove out, and support 5-axis VMC and CNC turning operations</li><li>Take jobs from print → program → proven process</li><li>Partner closely with machinists and leads during safe run-up and handoff</li><li>Support first articles, offsets, tooling, probing strategies, and collision avoidance</li><li>Release clean, documented programs ready for stable production</li><li>Improve cycle time, tool life, and process reliability where practical</li></ul>---<h3>Machines, Controls & Equipment</h3>You’ll work with equipment such as:<ul><li>5-Axis VMCs: Matsuura MX-520 (strongly preferred)</li><li>Mills: Haas CNC mills</li><li>Turning: Haas lathe</li><li>Turning (Nice to Have): DMG MORI NLX1500 or similar</li><li>Inspection: In-process inspection tools in a quality-driven environment</li></ul>---<h3>Materials You’ll Work With</h3><ul><li>Titanium</li><li>Cobalt Chrome (CoCr)</li><li>Stainless Steel</li></ul>---<h3>What We’re Looking For</h3>Required (Non-Negotiables):<ul><li>Hands-on 5-axis CNC programming with prove-out support</li><li>Strong experience programming and supporting Haas mills and lathes</li><li>Comfort machining Ti / CoCr / SS in a medical or quality-driven environment</li><li>Floor execution strength: offsets, tool compensation, probing strategies, safe run-up</li><li>Ability to partner with machinists to stabilize production</li></ul>Strongly Preferred:<ul><li>Matsuura MX-520 programming experience</li><li>Simultaneous 5-axis programming background</li></ul>Nice to Have:<ul><li>DMG MORI NLX1500 (or similar turning center) programming experience</li></ul>---<h3>What Success Looks Like</h3><ul><li>Programs released cleanly and supported through prove-out</li><li>Stable, repeatable production handoff to the floor</li><li>Setup sheets, tool lists, and offset strategies clearly documented</li><li>Improved cycle time, tool life, and process stability where practical</li></ul>---<h3>Pay, Per Diem & Contract Details</h3><ul><li>Pay: Up to $60/hour (DOE)</li><li>Per Diem: $150/day</li><li>Overtime: Available</li><li>Engagement: W-2 contract preferred<ul><li>Agency payroll acceptable</li><li>Compliant independent business arrangements considered</li></ul></li></ul>---<h3>Apply</h3>Interested CNC programmers can apply directly through hireCNC.
