Assistant Farm Manager
Job Overview

Duties
- Assist in supervising farm staff to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to safety protocols
- Operate and maintain various farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, irrigation systems, power tools, and heavy machinery
- Perform equipment repairs, welding, and routine maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition
- Oversee growing processes in fields, including planting, watering with irrigation systems, pest control, and harvesting
- Use hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks and minor construction projects around the farm
- Support the use of heavy lifting equipment for moving supplies safely
- Maintain detailed records of farm activities, equipment repairs, and crop progress
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in an agricultural or farm setting
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing farm machinery and equipment
- Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, irrigation systems, and power tools safely
- Experience with welding and basic maintenance tasks on farm equipment
- Basic math skills for measurements, record-keeping, and operational calculations
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate team efforts effectively
