Building Maintenance Worker

Perform routine maintenance tasks on city buildings and facilities, including but not limited to cleaning, repairing, and painting. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and report any damages or issues to the appropriate supervisor. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. Follow safety protocols and ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory of supplies. Collaborate with other city departments and external contractors as needed to complete maintenance projects. Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform basic repairs or coordinate with specialized technicians. Monitor building systems and report any malfunctions or inefficiencies to the appropriate department. Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months. Uphold the city's standards of cleanliness and appearance in all maintenance work. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline maintenance processes and procedures. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks. Adhere to all city policies and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
