Configuration and Release Manager (Remote Opportunity)
VetsEZ is seeking a Configuration and Release Manager Engineer/DevOps (Remote Opportunity) to join our growing remote team supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs. You will develop, maintain, and streamline automated build and release infrastructure and deployment pipeline from code compilation and automated testing to deploying releases to multiple environments. You will work closely with multi-functional teams to integrate new deployment processes and strategies to build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely and communicate deployments, problem resolution status, and daily work status regularly with VDIF RTE(s), Configuration Manager(s)
• Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
• Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements, design, software, and related documentation.
• Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
• Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration.
• Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software.
• Attention to detail and ability to consistently complete traceability documentation tasks in GitHub.
• Maintain and update VDIF-EP DevOps and CM GitHub wiki pages as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7 years related experience or 3+ years of Configuration Management experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux bash scripting.
• Advanced working knowledge of VDIF-EP/HealthShare/HealthConnect environment setup, intended usage, and overall configuration.
• Attention to detail and ability to consistently complete traceability documentation tasks in GitHub.
• Intermediate HealthShare/Cache Object Script development knowledge to help developer team leads resolve Jenkins automated build and deployment problems.
Additional Qualifications:
• Advanced knowledge of and experience with git and GitHub
• Experience with Git Flow code promotion methodology
• Experience in the VA
