The Direct Care Worker will assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders, while ensuring their safety and comfort. The role also includes providing companionship, promoting independence, and addressing clients’ specific needs as part of a comprehensive care plan. The Direct Care Worker will maintain accurate documentation of services provided and communicate regularly with supervisors regarding client progress and needs.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience or skills in personal care assistance, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing</li><li>Ability to assist with housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide companionship and maintain positive relationships</li><li>Basic knowledge of healthcare practices, including administering medication reminders and addressing basic health needs</li><li>Commitment to promoting a safe and respectful environment for clients</li><li>Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and transfers, including the use of supportive equipment if needed</li><li>High school diploma or GED preferred, along with prior experience in caregiving or healthcare roles</li><li>Completion of CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification</li><li>Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required for the role</li></ul>
