EHS Specialist – Electrical Safety in Construction

LEGO Group is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist with a strong focus on electrical safety to ensure a safe and healthy work environment on our exciting construction projects. Job Description: Be the Safety Champion: Serve as the key liaison between LEGO Group and our General Contractor’s Safety Team, ensuring daily activities and high-risk tasks are monitored effectively. Lead the Charge: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to spot potential hazards, ensuring swift corrective actions. Collaborate & Communicate: Engage in weekly safety meetings with general contractors and subcontractors to foster a culture of safety. Track & Report: Maintain records on Key Process Indicators and keep associated reports updated. Train & Empower: Ensure LEGO Construction personnel complete necessary safety trainings and adhere to all regulations. Coordinate Efforts: Work closely with construction managers, contractors, and subcontractors to integrate safety considerations into project plans. Innovate & Improve: Implement and enhance EHS procedures to reduce accident rates at our construction and production facilities. Analyze & Act: Review EHS metrics monthly to initiate improvements and drive positive change. Educate & Mentor: Promote a behavior-based safety culture through training and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key liaison between LEGO Group and our General Contractor’s Safety Team

• Engage in weekly safety meetings with general contractors and subcontractors
• Maintain records on Key Process Indicators and keep associated reports updated
• Ensure LEGO Construction personnel complete necessary safety trainings and adhere to all regulations
• Work closely with construction managers, contractors, and subcontractors to integrate safety considerations into project plans
• Implement and enhance EHS procedures to reduce accident rates at our construction and production facilities
• Review EHS metrics monthly to initiate improvements and drive positive change
• Promote a behavior-based safety culture through training and mentorship

Requirements

• A combined 5-7 years in both industrial and commercial construction or subcontractor EHS, with specific expertise in electrical safety.
• Must have OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 in construction.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations, ISO management systems.
• Experience in developing and implementing effective EHS programs and risk analysis methodologies.
• A commitment to creating safer work environments and the ability to lead EHS initiatives.
