Estimator

A well-established cost consultancy in Dubai is seeking an experienced Estimator / Cost Engineer to join its growing team. The role sits within the pre- and post-contract cost management function, working closely with both internal consultants and external contractor teams.

This position suits a technically strong estimator with solid UAE experience across construction and fit-out projects, and a background spanning both consultancy and main contractor environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and cost plans for construction and fit-out projects
  • Undertake cost planning and feasibility estimates during early design stages
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents with a strong understanding of structural elements
  • Support tender analysis, contractor evaluations, and value engineering exercises
  • Assist with post-contract cost control, variations, and interim valuations where required
  • Liaise with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure accurate and commercially sound cost advice
  • Contribute to internal benchmarking, cost databases, and reporting standards

Candidate Profile

  • 12–15 years of total UAE experience in construction cost management/estimation
  • Approximately 3 years with a cost consultancy and the balance with a main contractor
  • Proven experience across fit-out and general construction projects (commercial, residential, mixed-use, etc.)
  • Exposure to both pre-contract and post-contract roles within contractors
  • Sound understanding of structural components
  • Strong measurement, estimating, and cost planning capability
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • RICS not required; this is a technical, hands-on role rather than a management position.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary of AED 18,000 – 22,000 per month (depending on experience)
  • Opportunity to work with a respected cost consultancy on diverse projects
  • Stable, long-term role with professional autonomy and exposure across project stages
  • Collaborative environment with a strong technical focus
