Finance Manager, Accountant

The RoleAs the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and managing the entire finance and accounting function. This is a standalone role suited to someone with a hands-on background in full-cycle accounting and financial management. You will create and implement robust financial processes, controls, and reporting structures, while working closely with the directors to guide financial strategy and ensure regulatory compliance.You will also support commercial growth through FX management, commission structures for consultants and affiliates, and financial insights to optimize profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and manage the companys end-to-end accounting processes (bookkeeping, reconciliations, management accounts, financial reporting).Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.Oversee loan book accounting, including interest accruals, collateral valuations, repayments, and defaults.Manage FX transactions and risk associated with cross-border deals.Design and administer commission structures for affiliate consultants and sales staff, ensuring accuracy and transparency in payments.Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, P&L, and balance sheet reports to directors.Advise directors on best practices, financial planning, and compliance standards in line with United Arab Emirates regulations.Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.Liaise with auditors, banks, regulators, and external advisors as required.Provide commercial and strategic support to the business as it scales.What Were Looking ForProven experience in a standalone finance/finance manager role, ideally within a start-up, brokerage, sales, recruitment, or related fast-paced environment.Strong technical background in accounting and financial management, with the ability to set up systems from scratch.Solid understanding of FX management and cross-border payments.Experience in commission and incentive structures for sales and affiliate teams.Knowledge of United Arab Emirates accounting, VAT, and tax compliance.High level of integrity, strong commercial acumen, and a solutions-oriented mindset.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with directors and non-finance stakeholders.Comfortable working in a start-up environment, wearing multiple hats and building processes for scale.Preferred ExperienceBackground in brokerage, sales-driven businesses, recruitment, or lending/finance industries.Exposure to asset-based lending, pawnbroking, or luxury goods financing is highly desirable.Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or equivalent).What We OfferThe opportunity to shape the financial foundation of a fast-growing luxury finance start-up.A dynamic, entrepreneurial working environment with direct exposure to decision-making.Competitive salary and performance-related incentives.Based on-site in Dubai, at the heart of the luxury and financial hub of the Middle East.Please message me ASAP for further details as interviews are immediate
