Freelance Beauty Product Development Consultant (Part-Time | Los Angeles)

<p>We are a fast-growing beauty brand based in Los Angeles, focused on innovative skincare and haircare products in collaboration with leading Korean labs.</p><p>Our brand is Amazon-first, trend-driven, and built with a strong emphasis on product quality and long-term brand value.</p><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Beauty Product Development Consultant</strong> to work closely with the founder on a part-time basis.</p><p>This is not a corporate role — this is a hands-on opportunity to help shape the product direction of an emerging beauty brand.</p>🔹 What You'll Do<ul><li>Evaluate new product concepts (skincare / haircare)</li><li>Review ingredient lists and provide formulation feedback</li><li>Identify market trends and ingredient innovation</li><li>Advise on claims, positioning, and compliance risks</li><li>Provide strategic input before production decisions</li><li>Occasionally review samples and performance</li></ul>🔹 Ideal Background<ul><li>5+ years in beauty product development</li><li>Experience with US cosmetics compliance (FDA / MoCRA knowledge preferred)</li><li>Background at a beauty brand, lab, or contract manufacturer</li><li>Familiar with K-beauty trends (plus)</li><li>Entrepreneurial mindset preferred over corporate-only experience</li></ul>🔹 Engagement Structure<ul><li>Part-time / consulting basis</li><li>Approx. 5–10 hours per week</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Remote with occasional in-person meetings in LA (preferred)</li></ul><p>Compensation will be hourly or retainer-based depending on experience.</p><ul><li>If you’re passionate about building innovative beauty products and want to collaborate closely with a founder-led brand, we’d love to connect.</li></ul>
