GHG Emissions Analyst, Venues (Remote US)

About the position

The GHG Emissions Analyst will support sustainability projects focused on greenhouse gas emissions accounting and management. This role involves conducting environmental assessments, generating reports, and creating management plans to promote sustainability in the sports and entertainment industry. The analyst will work remotely but will be required to travel up to 35% of the time to various project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Support sustainability evaluations and solutions with a focus on greenhouse gas emissions accounting and life cycle assessments.
  • Support comprehensive organizational sustainability assessments and program implementation.
  • Prepare final reports, including environmental, social, and economic analysis.
  • Research greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategies and integrate social sustainability priorities.
  • Support project managers with on-site program implementation at stadiums and events.
  • Manage data collection, organization, and input processes for environmental impact data from live events using digital impact management tools.
  • Provide guidance related to measurement and management of scope 3 emissions sources in the sports and entertainment industry.
  • Facilitate feedback between customers and the data strategy lead to ensure digital tools align with customer needs.
  • Integrate social sustainability priorities into GHG emissions management strategies.
  • Interact with customers and provide professional responses.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are trained to comply with regulations.
  • Self-educate on current sustainability topics and trends.
  • Organize and interpret data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Sustainability, Geography, or Business, or a High School Diploma/GED with four years of relevant work experience.
  • One year of relevant work experience in sustainability.
  • Experience conducting GHG Emissions Inventories and reduction initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of sustainability trends, specifically greenhouse gas emissions management and measurement.
  • Experience with materials management.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Interest in the sports and entertainment industry.
