Role Description

As part of the Worldwide Pharmaceutical Operations – Pfizer, this individual will report directly to the Field Reimbursement Team Lead. The Oncology Field Reimbursement Manager will perform their duties under the strategic vision of the Pfizer Oncology Account Team Plan and compliance standards.

  • Establish and maintain strong and lasting relationships with US Reimbursement and Payment Organizations/Agencies.
  • Ensure that payment policy does not impede access to Pfizer's portfolio.
  • Inform and educate internal stakeholders on industry trends with coverage and reimbursement of products.
  • Act as subject matter experts on reimbursement and coverage issues affecting Pfizer products.
  • Provide interpretive guidance and strategic insight to various internal Pfizer stakeholders regarding potential reimbursement issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years Pharmaceutical industry experience, typically within pharmaceutical sales and patient access, coding, and reimbursement.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of Oncology experience, preferably within the Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical sectors, Provider/Carrier Networks, or Government Agency.
  • Strong understanding of Oncology Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and knowledge of Oncology policy dynamics in the Cancer Community.
  • Experience demonstrating exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and success in working across internal boundaries and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of collaborating broadly with a diverse range of customers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • B.S. Degree is required; additional certification in coding and reimbursement is preferred.
