Junior Buyer

The Junior Buyer is responsible for supporting purchasing and sourcing activities to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services required for manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to ensure cost efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

-Create and manage purchase orders based on MRP requirements.

-Follow up on open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.

-Communicate with suppliers to confirm availability, pricing, and lead times.

-Support RFQ processes and perform comparative quote analysis.

-Maintain accurate supplier and pricing data within the ERP system.

-Assist with basic price negotiations and commercial terms.

-Resolve discrepancies related to invoicing, receiving, or material quality.

-Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

-Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

-1–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing (preferred).

-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

-Bilingual (English and Spanish).

-Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
