Junior Management Accountant - LVMH Fashion Group UK

<p>As a Management Accountant you will report to the Finance Controller and perform/coordinate accounting duties within our organisation in close collaboration with local management and our company headquarters in Paris.</p><p><br></p><p>Your responsibilities will include delivering an accurate & timely month end, preparing monthly management accounts, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, and assisting with audit preparations. Participate to various projects in which efficiency & accuracy of our accounting mission is improved - finally you will become the main go to person for all accounting needs and form successful “Business Intelligence Pods”</p><p><br></p><p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Month end entries (prepayment, accruals, fixed assets…)</li><li>In charge of the monthly closings and reporting</li><li>Posting and reconciliation of IFRS16 leases</li><li>Preparation of monthly profit and loss accounts and variance analysis</li><li>Preparation of monthly balance sheets and liaison with Consolidation teams in Paris</li><li>Review/full reconciliation of all balance sheet balances</li><li>Input of consolidation / reporting package (Group tool)</li><li>Reporting analyses (cash flow, debt, corporation tax …)</li><li>Coordination of year end audit with the external auditors</li><li>Preparation of VAT returns</li><li>Preparation of bank reconciliations</li><li>Reconciliation and clearing of concessions accounts</li><li>Reconciliation and clearing of cash and credit card sales payments</li><li>Operational support to stores and other Head Office departments</li><li>Other Ad Hoc projects (Digitalisation of Petty Cash, participation to Stock take, store support)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>PROFILE</strong></p><p><strong>Education and experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Qualified or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/Equivalent</li><li>Experience of accounts preparation</li><li>Experience of VAT and corporation tax</li><li>Experience in retail industry</li><li>Strong reconciliation skills with very good attention to detail</li><li>Strong technical skills (UK GAAP and IFRS)</li><li>JDE and SAP experience desirable</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Interpersonal skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communications and interpersonal skills and a pro-active approach to challenges.</li><li>Attention to details</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines</li><li>French Speaker is a plus</li></ul><p><br></p>
