<p><strong>Marketing Intern - Book Launch Campaign</strong></p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>Humarq Business Partners has been tasked with developing a marketing plan for the debut novel of an exciting new author! We're hiring an additional to execute a comprehensive 4-month pre-launch campaign (March–June 2026). This isn't coffee-fetching or busy work. You'll be running an actual book launch campaign from the ground up, creating viral content, building community engagement, and driving pre-orders for a major commercial release. In addition to our current marketing interns, we are seeking on additional intern to focus on video creation for the purposes of world building. <strong>Successful candidates may be offered full-time employment at the conclusion of the internship. </strong></p><p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Video creation</strong> for marketing purposes</li><li>Develop and execute social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and X (Twitter)</li><li>Create engaging content including campaign posts, short-form videos, and character features</li><li>Manage social sharing contest and early access campaign</li><li>Build and grow email subscriber list</li><li>Track engagement metrics and adjust strategy based on performance</li><li>Coordinate ARC (Advance Reader Copy) distribution and review management</li></ul><p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p><p>2 positions: Marketing/Communications focus</p><ul><li>Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends (especially BookTok)</li><li>Experience creating engaging visual and written content</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet deadlines</li><li>1K+ social media following preferred (shows platform understanding)</li></ul><p>1 position: English/Creative Writing/Journalism focus</p><ul><li>Exceptional writing skills for book marketing context</li><li>Understanding of YA literature market</li><li>Ability to craft compelling copy for emails, social posts, and promotional materials</li><li>Journalism or creative writing background preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></p><p>This is an <strong>unpaid</strong> internship offering significant professional development opportunities:</p><ul><li>Gain valuable experience and insight into the marketing processes of a book launch</li><li>Direct mentorship from experienced marketing professional</li><li>Work remotely with a flexible schedule</li><li>Letter of recommendation upon successful completion</li><li>Potential for career growth and full-time opportunities based on performance</li><li>Potential for credit in book acknowledgments</li><li>First access to unreleased content and behind-the-scenes materials</li></ul><p><strong>Time Commitment</strong></p><ul><li>March–June 2026 (4 months)</li><li>Flexible schedule: ~15-20 hours per week</li><li>Remote work (work from anywhere)</li><li>Team meetings via video call (schedule TBD based on intern availability)</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, English, Journalism or a related field.</li><li>Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva is a plus.</li><li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to details.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li><li>Prior experience in marketing or internships in related fields is a plus but not required.</li></ul><p>If you are enthusiastic about marketing and/or creative writing and eager to contribute to a dynamic book launch campaign, we would love to hear from you.
