Purchasing – Supermarket (Dubai)

Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: Starting from AED 2,500 (depending on experience)

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our supermarket team in Dubai. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience in the UAE retail or supermarket sector and a strong understanding of local suppliers and market pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and negotiate with local suppliers and vendors
  • Purchase supermarket goods including FMCG, fresh products, and non-food items
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment
  • Compare prices and maintain cost-effective purchasing strategies
  • Coordinate with store operations and warehouse team
  • Maintain proper documentation of purchase orders and invoices
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of purchasing experience in the UAE (supermarket/retail preferred)
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of UAE market suppliers and pricing
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems)
  • Currently based in UAE

Reporting Structure:

The Purchasing Officer will directly report to the Owner and Store Manager.
