Sales + Impact Representative - Upper Midwest
Job Description:
- Achieve Financial Targets: Daily focus on achieving sales targets aligning with Patagonia’s values.
- Curate dealer assortments focused on long-term business reflective of retailer and Patagonia goals.
- Consultative selling based on data, analysis, and retailer/Patagonia definition of success.
- Maintain holistic understanding of Patagonia’s business including Patagonia direct, and national retailers.
- Capitalize on opportunities for growth with existing accounts and through new partnerships, inclusive of increasing market share in the fly-fishing category.
- Elevate Brand Presentation: Collaborate with Marketplace Experience team to bring product, sport, and mission to life through elevated merchandising and digital story telling.
- Meaningful engagement with key partners focused on their unique needs: merchandising, business meetings, staff education, or events.
- Provide regular updates to manager on market, retailer, and product performance.
- Respond to dealer and company communication within 24 hours.
- Educate Retailer Staff: In person clinics with top dealers, and introduction to digital Summit Learning Platform.
- Develop deep understanding of our products, their materials, production, uses, benefits, and key differentiators across all categories (Active Essentials, Equipment & Accessories, Climb, Fly-fishing, Kids, Oceans, Rivers, Snow, and Trails).
- Increase Mission +Impact: Utilize 18 activism hours annually and share experiences with team.
- Inspire and galvanize Patagonia customers through retailer and community activations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years' sales representative experience working with outdoor specialty retailers.
- Knowledge of regional and national industry trends, and ability effectively incorporate them into sales strategies.
- Sales expertise related to Patagonia’s key sport and lifestyle categories (experience with fly-fishing category is a plus).
- In-store and digital marketing experience through merchandising, marketing, and events.
- Retail staff training.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience analyzing brand reporting, and retailer sell-through data.
- Community involvement, and/or activism experience focused on the environment.
- Partnering, collaborating, and building relationships with all levels of an organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, or related field preferred.
