Secondary Math and Science Teacher

Full time position open for Mandarin speaking secondary Science and Mathematics teacher in a Christian independent Toronto School for September 2026. Must be able to teach Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Calculus and Algebra. Require minimum two years teaching experience with current OCT standing or equivalent and full understanding of the assessment strategies outlined in the MOE Growing Success document. Experience in teaching AP secondary courses is a valued skill to contribute to the learning environment. . Strong time management leadership skills an asset as well as fluency in Mandarin or Korean, will be a tremendous asset. Seeking an individual who can inspire students to learn beyond their potentail and to provide a positive and encouraging rapport with both students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for secondary math and science, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Assess student progress and provide individualized support, including tutoring and assistance for special education needs.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the learning experience.
• Manage classroom time efficiently while maintaining a focus on leadership and student engagement.
• Utilize laboratory experience to facilitate hands-on learning opportunities.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
