Self Employed Courier

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods promptly and safely across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and excellent organisational skills to contribute to our logistics operations. The position involves working in a dynamic environment, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries and professional service. Payment is £1 per stop up to 120 stops, it’s 50p per stop thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including vans to deliver parcels and goods to various locations within the assigned area
• Plan efficient routes to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption
• Load and unload items, ensuring they are secured properly during transit
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain signatures upon delivery where required
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies at all times

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices
• Valid driver’s licence
• Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling parcels or goods of varying sizes and weights
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
• Organised with the ability to plan routes efficiently under time constraints
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries and record keeping
• To be able to drive an electric vehicle
