About the role:
Justteachers are currently recruiting for a resilient and dedicated SEMH and Behaviour Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Kings Lynn on a full-time basis.
This specialist SEMH provision in Kings Lynn supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment where students are supported to develop emotional regulation, resilience, and positive relationships alongside their academic learning. The staff team work collaboratively to create consistent routines and high expectations to help pupils succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting with the delivery of lessons and maintaining engagement
- Implementing behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Promoting emotional regulation and positive coping strategies
- Building strong, professional relationships with pupils
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- Two recent references
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear enhanced DBS on the update service or must be willing to apply for one
- Confidence managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
- A resilient, patient and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Pay: £85.00-£100.00 per day
