This role is responsible for the integrity of data entered into the SAP ERP System. The quality of work in this position is critical as the data flows into the accounting systems and ultimately vendors are paid based on the candidate's activity. This person must be able to understand and follow the procedures identified as necessary for accurate material and data handling and align with Bay Minette Novelis policies and procedures. The candidate must fulfill this responsibility with full honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Issue, verify, receive, and deliver goods and enter Stores/Receiving information in SAP as required
  • Monitor, update, and rebuild items in SAP daily
  • Make the physical counts of receipts and completing proper transactions
  • Disburse Stores inventory through the Stores data-base computer system (SAP)
  • Unload, verify, receive, and deliver items for both the Stores Inventory and for direct charge items to various areas throughout the plant, including the mills as well as the offices
  • Perform cycle counts per inventory control procedures, and the coordination and reconciliation of the Stores Inventory with other departments
  • Perform data input and invoice reconciliation in the BP Open System which includes scanning of all packing slips and pertinent information and indexing for on-line receipts
  • Work varying shifts per business needs, this schedule may change pending department needs and business conditions

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, databases
  • Ability to work with outside carriers and internal customers
  • Ability to work effectively with large volumes of inventory data
