an affordable and convenient path to getting a bachelor’s degree.</span></li><li><span>A company recognized as a great place to work in dozens of countries worldwide and named one of the most admired companies by Fortune.</span></li><li><span>A company that is recognized as one of the best big companies to work for, as well as the best place to work for diversity, working mothers, female executives, and scientists.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>The Opportunity</span></b></p><p></p><p><span>Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, delivering industry-leading technologies and expert teams to support diagnostic testing that informs treatment and disease management.</span></p><p></p><p><span>We are hiring a </span><b><span>Technical Consultant</span></b><span> to support our </span><b><span>Infectious Disease division</span></b><span> within Abbott Rapid Diagnostics. </span><span>This </span><span>is a </span><b><span>field-based, remote role based in</span></b><span> </span><b><span>Denver, CO,</span></b><span> requiring up to </span><b><span>75% travel</span></b><span> within the territory.</span><span> </span></p><p></p><p><span>The Technical Consultant will play a key role in account activation, customer retention, and technical education across laboratory and Point-of-Care settings, ensuring successful implementation and optimal use of Abbott’s Infectious Disease products.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>What You’ll Work On</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Deliver on-site technical and clinical training for Abbott Infectious Disease products.</span></li><li><span>Support verification studies in compliance with CLIA, CAP, COLA, and TJC regulations.</span></li><li><span>Build consultative relationships with customers to optimize product utilization and technical processes.</span></li><li><span>Lead POC Link connectivity efforts, including implementation, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.</span></li><li><span>Educate customers on workflow efficiency, testing volumes, and actionable data insights.</span></li><li><span>Present Abbott’s value proposition in high-level customer meetings.</span></li><li><span>Conduct workflow analysis to improve turnaround times and customer satisfaction.</span></li><li><span>Identify and support at-risk accounts and contribute to account growth strategies.</span></li><li><span>Assist with product training for internal teams (sales, marketing, technical services).</span></li><li><span>Participate in monthly team calls, webinars, and professional meetings.</span></li><li><span>Travel up to 75%, including occasional weekends and short-notice trips.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Required Qualifications: </span></b></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Nursing (or equivalent degree from an accredited institution)</span></li><li><span>Registered Medical Technologist or Registered Nurse in the state of residence</span></li><li><span>Minimum 3 years of continuous experience in a clinical lab or <span>critical-care/infectious</span> disease environment</span></li><li><span>At least 1 year of experience with implementation or Point-of-Care Testing</span></li><li><span>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PDF tools</span></li><li><span>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach complex subjects to diverse audiences</span></li><li><span>Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple tasks</span></li></ul><p><b><span>Preferred Qualifications: </span></b></p><ul><li><span>Management, supervisory, or Point-of-Care Coordinator (POCC) experience</span></li><li><span>Advanced degree and/or sales experience</span></li><li><span>5+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Registered Nurse</span></li><li><span>Extensive knowledge of Point-of-Care Testing and infectious diseases.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated excellence in customer service, training, and troubleshooting</span></li><li><span>Familiarity with instrument connectivity and integration in healthcare environments</span></li><li><span>Ability to complete assignments accurately and independently with minimal guidance</span></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Learn more about our benefits that add real value to your life to help you live fully: </span></b><a href="http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx" target="_blank"><span><span>www.abbottbenefits.com</span></span></a><span>  </span></p><p></p><p><span>Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that has the growth and strength to build your future.
