This is a field-based, remote role based in Denver, CO, requiring up to 75% travel within the territory. The Technical Consultant will play a key role in account activation, customer retention, and technical education across laboratory and Point-of-Care settings, ensuring successful implementation and optimal use of Abbott’s Infectious Disease products.What You’ll Work On<ul><li>Deliver on-site technical and clinical training for Abbott Infectious Disease products.</li><li>Support verification studies in compliance with CLIA, CAP, COLA, and TJC regulations.</li><li>Build consultative relationships with customers to optimize product utilization and technical processes.</li><li>Lead POC Link connectivity efforts, including implementation, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.</li><li>Educate customers on workflow efficiency, testing volumes, and actionable data insights.</li><li>Present Abbott’s value proposition in high-level customer meetings.</li><li>Conduct workflow analysis to improve turnaround times and customer satisfaction.</li><li>Identify and support at-risk accounts and contribute to account growth strategies.</li><li>Assist with product training for internal teams (sales, marketing, technical services).</li><li>Participate in monthly team calls, webinars, and professional meetings.</li><li>Travel up to 75%, including occasional weekends and short-notice trips.</li></ul>Required Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Nursing (or equivalent degree from an accredited institution)</li><li>Registered Medical Technologist or Registered Nurse in the state of residence</li><li>Minimum 3 years of continuous experience in a clinical lab or critical-care/infectious disease environment</li><li>At least 1 year of experience with implementation or Point-of-Care Testing</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PDF tools</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach complex subjects to diverse audiences</li><li>Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple tasks</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>Management, supervisory, or Point-of-Care Coordinator (POCC) experience</li><li>Advanced degree and/or sales experience</li><li>5+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Registered Nurse</li><li>Extensive knowledge of Point-of-Care Testing and infectious diseases.</li><li>Demonstrated excellence in customer service, training, and troubleshooting</li><li>Familiarity with instrument connectivity and integration in healthcare environments</li><li>Ability to complete assignments accurately and independently with minimal guidance</li></ul>Learn more about our benefits that add real value to your life to help you live fully: <a href="http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx" target="_blank">www.abbottbenefits.com</a> Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that has the growth and strength to build your future.
