<p><b>Role: Freelance Technical Copy-Editor | UK</b></p><p><b>Work Type: </b>Project-based position, primarily remote.</p><p>On-site presence in London may be required from mid-February to March 1, 2026.</p><p><b>Location</b>: United Kingdom</p><p><b>Role mission:</b></p><p>For our client, an iconic tech company known for its innovative products and design, we are looking for a skilled <b>Technical Copy-Editor</b> to join our team at OLIVER. This role blends traditional editorial expertise with operational precision: you’ll work across multiple platforms, workflows, and content types to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and flawless execution.</p><p>In this position, you will ensure the highest quality of client’s localised marketing copy across various platforms and channels, while maintaining the brand’s established tone of voice.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Localizing, editing, and proofreading marketing communications, including web content, in-store materials, direct mail, print, and other materials.</li><li>Validating localized marketing copy for your market.</li><li>Ensuring consistency with approved translations (translation memory and glossaries).</li><li>Adhering to grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules.</li><li>Applying brand writing guidelines effectively.</li><li>Work across multiple tools (CMS, collaborative editing platforms, task management systems).</li><li>Ensure high-quality output by following structured workflows, checklists, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).</li></ul><p>More details to be provided after NDA is signed.</p><p><b>Key Qualifications:</b></p><p><b>Editorial Skills</b></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in editing/proofreading, either agency or client side.</li><li>Native speaker of target language.</li><li>Strong awareness of cultural and linguistic nuances specific to your market.</li><li>Proven experience in editing, proofreading, or localisation, ideally in marketing/advertising.</li><li>Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in British English.</li><li>Must have competency with Mac programs.</li><li>Ability to adapt and refine content to align with brand tone and guidelines.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and consistently meets deadlines.</li><li>Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and maintaining quality in fast-paced environments</li><li>Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams.</li><li>Ideally with a Bachelor\'s/Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Marketing, Communications, or Linguistics.</li></ul><p><b>Technical/QA Skills</b></p><ul><li>Experience with systems such as CMSs and translation platforms.</li><li>Comfortable in structured workflows with checklists, SOPs, and defined routing paths.</li><li>Confident switching between multiple tools and platforms.</li></ul><p><b>About US:</b></p><p>Established in 2004, <b>OLIVER</b> is the world’s first and only specialist in designing, building, and running bespoke in-house agencies and marketing ecosystems for brands.
