Position Summary

The Vice Principal provides strategic academic and operational leadership to ensure effective implementation of the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and overall school excellence. The role supports the principal in curriculum oversight, staff development, student achievement, compliance with Cambridge standards, and maintaining a high-performance school culture.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Curriculum Oversight

  • Lead and monitor the implementation of the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum across relevant grade levels.
  • Ensure teaching practices align with Cambridge assessment objectives and international standards.
  • Analyze academic performance data and drive improvement strategies.
  • Support exam planning, moderation processes, and Cambridge compliance requirements.

School Operations & Administration

  • Oversee daily school operations to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Ensure adherence to Cambridge International guidelines and school policies.
  • Support academic scheduling, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Staff Supervision & Development

  • Mentor and evaluate teaching staff, particularly in IGCSE delivery.
  • Organize professional development aligned with Cambridge standards.
  • Promote collaborative planning and instructional best practices.

Student Welfare & Discipline

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and internationally minded school culture.
  • Oversee student discipline policies and pastoral care systems.
  • Support student leadership and holistic development initiatives.

Parent & Community Engagement

  • Communicate academic standards and exam expectations to parents.
  • Represent the school in meetings, inspections, and external academic engagements.
  • Act as Principal in the Principal’s absence.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in education or relevant discipline (M. Ed preferred).
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience in Cambridge IGCSE curriculum implementation (strongly preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of teaching experience with leadership exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of international assessments and academic standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
